Co|Lab
As a creative, my goal is always to create designs that are forward-thinking and innovative. In 2019, I was given the task of developing the branding for CoLab, a sustainably designed two-floor, state-of-the-art, mass timber facility dedicated to HITT Contracting’s research and development work. Inspired by the beautiful building itself, I knew I wanted to incorporate the organic textures and lines of the wooden beams and concrete into my design. To complement these elements, I decided to use a playful color palette pulled from the natural green spaces within the facility and on the green wall. The scope of this project was extensive, covering brand development, business stationary, and marketing collateral.
Southland Concrete
Rebranding a growing company always comes with its set of challenges, and when Southland Concrete approached me to work on their rebrand, I wanted to make sure that the update aligned with their values. With a strong emphasis on customer and supplier relations, quality, and safety, Southland wanted a fresh and modern look that still felt familiar to their team and clients alike. In my research, I couldn't help but be drawn to the lines of giant concrete slabs being lifted by cranes. The symmetry and geometric shapes in those photos served as inspiration for the new logo, which I believe successfully captures depth of Southland's expertise. The rebranding project expanded to include a complete refresh of their business stationary as well.
Level with Us Podcast
In 2021, I pursued a passion project of mine and created an internal podcast at HITT. I crafted the content, interviewed guests, edited each show and created the overall branding. My goal was to capture casual conversations and turn them into something that others could tune into on their own time. A playful color palette, graphic design, and black and white photography became the backbone of my podcast's brand. One of the biggest challenges was creating visuals that would appeal to a corporate audience, without being too corporate. So, I kept the tone professional, but added in elements of fun to keep listeners engaged. The podcast visuals were displayed through digital signage on our intranet, and even in hallways of our buildings.
